Guide / Customer reviews

Good work deserves a simple follow-up.

By Jared Coller · Research guide · October 19, 2026

Start with a consistent review-request process before paying for another subscription.

  1. Pick the moment. Ask after the job is complete and the customer has had a chance to experience the result.
  2. Keep the request short. Thank the customer, ask for an honest review, and provide a direct link to the review destination you use.
  3. Be consistent. Use the same neutral process across customers. Avoid incentives and requests specifically for positive reviews.
  4. Assign ownership. Decide who sends the request and who replies to feedback. A checklist may be enough for a small team.
  5. Consider automation when volume grows. Compare the time saved with the subscription cost, and verify how the tool connects with your existing job system.

A tool to investigate: NiceJob

NiceJob focuses on customer reviews and referrals. Consider it when a manual follow-up process becomes hard to maintain. Check the current features, integrations, messaging controls, and pricing directly with the provider.
